Biography

Yorgos Stratoudakis is Assistant Professor with aggregation in the Department of Environmental Sciences and Engineering of the NOVA School of Science and Technology of NOVA University Lisbon (FCT-NOVA) and a researcher at CENSE (Centre for Environmental and Sustainability Research). He holds a degree in Biology from the University of Thessaloniki (Greece), a master's degree in Fisheries Biology and Management from Bangor University (Wales, UK) and in Political Philosophy from FCSH (UNL, Portugal), a PhD in Fisheries Science from Aberdeen University (Scotland, UK) and an Aggregation in Aquatic Sciences from the University of Porto, ICBAS (Portugal). He is the author of several papers and book chapters related with fisheries biology and ecology and small-scale fisheries management. He was a member of the Stakeholder Council of the Marine Stewardship Council from 2010 to 2018 and head of the Fisheries Department at IPMA from 2008 to 2011.
