Paula Guedes holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences from the NOVA School of Science and Technology, NOVA University Lisbon (NOVA FCT). She is a Researcher at CENSE, where she is part of the Management Board being responsible for the area “Impact on Society and Technology Transfer”. Paula is also a lecturer at NOVA FCT, teaching classes on soil pollution, resource recovery, and advanced laboratory techniques.
Paula has experience in developing innovative technological solutions to tackle pollution, recover critical raw materials and environmental monitoring. Her goal is to develop reliable systems that adhere to the circular economy principles, aiming to minimise waste, mitigate pollution, and promote resource efficiency. She’s currently focusing on innovative methods that can reduce the negative impact of industrial processes on the environment and contribute to a more sustainable future.
