Paul Yohanna is a PhD researcher in Environment and Sustainability at NOVA School of Science and Technology, NOVA University Lisbon, specializing in Energy and Climate. His research investigates the links between clean energy access, climate resilience, and environmental degradation in ecologically vulnerable regions, contributing to the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
He holds an MSc in Environmental Resources Planning from the University of Jos, Nigeria, and a B.Tech in Environmental Management from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, alongside a Postgraduate Diploma in Education. Since 2018, he has lectured at the Federal University of Dutsin-Ma, Nigeria, supervising research in environmental planning and hazard assessment.
Paul’s work spans energy poverty, climate change, biodiversity conservation, agroforestry, and land degradation. He has contributed to international development projects funded by UNDP, USAID, EU EPAH, and the World Bank. Committed to interdisciplinary sustainability research, he focuses on translating scientific insights into policy-relevant and community-based solutions.
