Biography
Ana Rita Ferreira is an Environmental Engineer with the PhD in Environmental and Sustainable Engineering with a strong focus on organic and inorganic contaminants removal from soil and water. The research target has been the design, development and optimization of sustainable technologies for emerging contaminants removal and critical materials recovery focusing on future practical applicability.
Ana Rita has been involved in different international projects where she worked with several technical solutions as electro-based technologies, phytoremediation and simulated constructed wetlands. Also, application of remediation technologies in extreme environmental conditions as the Artic environment and the development of analytical methods.
