CHANGE - Institute for Global Change and Sustainability will be marking World Environment Day on 5 June with a round table entitled ‘More than Carbon: Giving Credit to Biodiversity’, starting at 3.30 pm at NOVA FCT, Library Auditorium. How will carbon credits be allocated and what are the priorities? What is the link with biodiversity credits? What do Carbon Credits Plus mean and how can they be measured? Ana Paula Rodrigues, from ADENE - Agência de Energia, Francisco Ferreira, from ZERO and CENSE - Centro de Investigação e Sustentabilidade Ambiental, João Torres, from CoLAB ForestWISE, and José Rafael Marques da Silva, from AgroInsider and MED - Instituto Mediterrâneo de Agricultura, Ambiente e Desenvolvimento, will be the guests at the round table, which aims to promote a conversation about emerging issues related to the legislative process of the voluntary carbon market in Portugal and its relationship with biodiversity.
