Lina Arroyave is a transdisciplinary sustainability scientist and a PhD candidate at CENSE, NOVA School of Science and Technology - FCT NOVA.
Lina works on Ecological Economics at CENSE and her research is focused on tailor-made strategies towards sustainability in municipalities, with a special interest in Latin America and Portugal.
She holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Management and Policies, a joint program between NOVA School of Science and Technology - FCT NOVA, Évora University and Aveiro University (2019). She has broad experience working with collaborative groups in biodiversity, environmental policy implementation and conservation in different research centres, such as the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute and local NGOs. Her latest work was focused on untangling the impact of a State reform on environmental management and natural resources protection in Portuguese coastal municipalities. Her latest work sought to support policy implementation.
