Susana has a background in marketing and advertising. During her bachelor's studies, she began working at an international advertising agency, improving her project management skills in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment.
In 2018, she launched a national project promoting sustainable clothing consumption, reducing the ecological footprint and raising awareness of environmental issues. The project gained widespread media coverage and international interest, inspiring her to pursue a Ph.D. in Environment and Sustainability to bridge scientific gaps and connect science with society at FCT NOVA School of Science.
In her spare time, she enjoys travelling and giving back to society through volunteer work, such as supporting food banks and organizing aid for refugees. During the COVID pandemic, I initiated an online project called "Happy Home," connecting children with seniors through uplifting drawings, which continued even after the pandemic ended, with children still sending drawings to seniors.
