Katherine is a PhD student on the Environment and Sustainability at FCT NOVA, Katherine’s PhD focuses on the extent to which Portuguese carbon neutrality policy currently addresses energy poverty. Katherine has a BSc in Environmental Management from Manchester Metropolitan University and an MSc in Environment and Public Policy from Cranfield University. The subject of her Masters Thesis was a stakeholder analysis of a grassland in Southern England with a particular focus on ecosystem services. Katherine spent 2.5 years working in the energy efficiency sector in the U.K, initially at a community engagement level and was later responsible for leading a project investigating the impact of energy efficiency measures on household energy consumption and householder well-being. Between 2018 and 2019 Katherine worked as researcher at CENSE, investigating measures of energy poverty in different EU nations.
Biography
