Rita Dias is a PhD student of the Environment and Sustainability Doctoral Program and is a member of CENSE, FCT-NOVA University of Lisbon since December 2019. Her research work focuses on the removal of emergent compounds from treated wastewater for different uses and the risk analysis of this process. She has an Integrated Master in Environmental Engineering, Sanitary Engineering Profile at FCT-NOVA University of Lisbon. During her master thesis, she worked with Rotating Biological Contactor’s (RBC’s) to assess the biological removal efficiency of two hormones,17α-Ethinylestradiol and 17β-estradiol. Since 2017 has been working as a Project Engineer in a Portuguese engineering consulting company where has collaborated in projects on wastewater drainage infrastructures and wastewater treatment plants.
